Cognitive flexibility is more important

It generally makes sense for both footballers and athletes to train the brain in order to make faster and greater tactical, coordinative, technical and mental progress. 

The foundation of my work with BrainSoccer is based on neuroplasticity, the ability of the brain to regenerate and restructure itself through various stimuli.

An example: A center-back often lets high flying balls bounce in front of him or spends too much time playing long passes. He might just be afraid of headers or can't control the long passes. Practicing focuses on headers and long balls do not improve this. The cause most likely comes from non-optimal processing of binocular vision, in other words, judging distance and speed poorly. This is the definition of stereo vision or spatial perception.
 

Vision is so much more than a perfect visual acuity. The visual system also includes eye-hand-foot coordination, anticipation, timing, peripheral vision, vision for open spaces, reaction, visual endurance, reaction speeds, inhibition, cognitive flexibility, precise tracking of dynamic and fast moving objects, tracking multiple-objects and much more.

Supplementing training with additional ViCo Football training enables autonomous, creative action (self-regulation), particularly crucial in the final third of the game on the pitch.
